vented broadheads

In keeping with my habit of asking questions that arise from my ignorance...are vented BH's noisy in flight? Seems like, to me, they would be...but I've never shot one and lots of folks seem to like them. Thanks.

Depends on the head.  Snuffers for example are well known for a "hiss" in flight.  Stingers are vented and I don't hear anything out of them.  I could list a bunch of other vented heads I consider to be silent, and a few other noisy ones come to mind as well.

I'm sure there's some scientific reason but "I ain't that smart".  :knothead:

Probably no more noise than 5" feathers?
 I would probably guess that all the animals taken over time with these heads didn't notice a hiss.  ;)    :coffee:
