Robertson Long Bow bought it used off trad gang. Never had to touch a thing. First arrow I shoot dead center in the kill zone. And they just kept coming. The bow is in the picture w/me to the left. It blew up one week before the deer archery season this year. It now rests in the rack of the deer in the picture, in my shop. Have been in therapy for the past two months. Hope to be better by spring, and get a new Robertson. Honest honey the doctor says it will cure me. Thats my story and im sticking to it.

I've shot alot of different bows, and my old green and black 58" 50@28 Bear Grizzly seems to be the one I can put down for months, come back pick it up and smoke anything with it.Not the fastest, not the prettiest, but the confidence is 110%.

I also have a 60" 53@28" 7eyesTall hunter(It's a shrew-alike)that I can't seem to miss with...unless I'm shooting at a squirrel.

I always think I have "the one", until the next "one" comes along.  Sigh.

Got a sweet 60" 59#@28 Acadian Woods 3pc with antler knobs from a fellow Trad Ganger, I've carried it many days in the woods. The whole setup was bought out of the classified section.

Now then, take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me, Gen 27:3

I have two. I have several Quinns, stallions and XL Comets, but have one Stallion, #48, 60", with limbsations on it, alum. riser, with ugly brown paint, but I cant shoot the lights out with it out to 40 yards, and it seems to have a game magnet in it, have taken several turkeys, on the ground and deer also, took a nice 9pt. this fall.
The second one is a Tradtech Titan, 17"ILF, with #50,60"amo, Black Max Carbon limbs. Fast, Quiet, and really makes me look like a lot better shot than I am.

I have Kindred Companion by Mark Wilson. Best of the 42 i own.  Mark can't build them any more because of allegy to the exotic wood dusts.  But he did offer to take her down to 57# because age is forcing me there.  She danged sure wasn't cheap and i wouldn't say she was ugly, not a glamor girl, but talk about an extension of my brain.  Once i decide to shoot an animal she just takes over and i get out my skinning knife.
Boy, would I like to find a used "Companion"! Mark made a great bow! Wish they were still available! After having a Morrison Dakota, then traded for something else (the grass is always greener effect) I got another Dakota a few years later and have stuck with it. Darn good bows.

I have an old Bear Grizzly, Black and Green Riser w/ Black limbs. A real plain jane. Shoot that thing in a totally different zone. I wouldn't part with that bow under any circumstances. It is almost a zen kind of thing when I shoot it. Smooth and drops them right in. Got home made limb covers for her. Takes me back, and peels a few years off my hide walking through the woods with her. Every bowman should have a bow that makes them feel that way. It makes shooting a lot of fun.
If man were to know everything in advance, there would be no such thing as adventure!

I've shot and owned lots of bows during the 46 years I've been shooting bows and gone bowhunting. I'll sum it up this way. If I was destitute and needed money desperately, I'd never sell either of my two Blacktail TD recurves.

My Kanati. I just KNOW it will do the job. It's also lightweight and fits my had like it was made for me...well, actually, it was

I love my Orion too, but if I had to choose just one bow (like that will happen), it would be my Kanati.

My take down recurve that's in my picture.  It's about 15 years old now.  Nothin to fancy.  I recently put the skins on it myself to give it a face lift.  It's my go to bow because it's the only one I have.  I paid for it by cutting grass and serving at church.  I toy with the idea of getting something different.  I've even bought/built a few longbows to try, I just wind up selling them.  I keep coming back to it.  Good times...

If I needed money bad and had to keep one (or two; they really are not worth much on the market) that I knew could still get the job done, it would be my Ben Pearson recurves.
