My brace height is 7 1/2 on my 55# Montana L/b. I'm shooting 35/55 gt with 125 gr. tips. Seems to shoot just fine , but I'm curious what other shooters brace height is with a comparible set up?

I shoot a 50# Montana L/b with comparible set up shoots good at 7 and I think the recommended brace heights are 7-8 1/2.

I shoot a 45# Montana. I've experimented different brace heights from 7 1/2 to 8 1/4 and mine seems to shoot best at right around 8" using a Flemish string from Doug McCoy.

As I recall, the brace on the one I had was right at 7 1/2". I think Bear recommends (or used to) 8 1/2", which is too high, IMO.

I think my 50# Montana likes 7 1/2+, but you can go up or down a bit and see whats best. If yours is shooting well ,leave it alone.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki
