Have you ever just had that feeling...

...today is going to be the day?  I woke up this morning, and everthing has gone right since then.  Kids were good, wife didn't complain to much, dog hopped up in bed with all of us, went to breakfast, kids were good, they even cleaned there rooms and took out the trash without being told, then everyone went to a museum and left me to go hunting.

At noon I'm leaving the house, and hunting a farm I got permission to hunt last year, but have not had the chance till today to do so.

I just have a funny feeling that today's "goodness" isn't over yet.

It is wonderful to feel like everything is going your way on any given day.  I have found that a positive premonition of a good hunting day NEVER pans out to be one.  It always seems like those picture perfect ones result in a beautiful day and good vibes, but no game.  The most successful days seem to be the bland grey ones when you least expect it to happen.  Go figure.  I quit trying to figure it out and just go with the flow

I hope you put your head down on the pillow tonight and smile to yourself about what just happened today.

Had that feeling this year and ended up butchering two deer that night.

Well, ended up having a nice spike sneak in at 30 yards, but wasted no time for me to wish him closer.  It's still one of those days.  I just got home and my Mother-out-Law is making Nachos for dinner.  Sometimes you need to sit back and be thankful for what you already have.
