Well folks, I was WRONG, thought after 22 years of flingin Sticks I'd try and give it up, Plain & Simple I just can't, do have to admit, I did kill an 8 pt. on my Bud's farm {with wheels} last week & am very thankful for this, BUT things were not the same & it just wasn't me {lots of variables} spent today in Md. on the ground, L/B in hand, killed a few stumps, missed a squirrel & had a blast, Thanks fellas, just had to get this off my chest ... Take Care, ALL ...

Everyone tires of the "same thing" and a break with another "girl" just reminded you why you were there for 22 yrs.  No big deal getting an occasional feel for the competition or another way of doing it.  What the heck: now you will be ok for another 22.

The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

I used a compound for a short while last year.  Killed my biggest deer to date during that time. It didn't feel nearly as special as it should have. Have since sold everything but my longbows & couldn't be happier.
