Great story!  Great deer!

Did you refinish it yourself or have it done by someone?

Thanks everyone...I'm still pretty pumped about it...

And Oliverstacy...I refinished it myself...quite a lot more work involved than I initially imagined, but I really had no idea going into it...I actually posted a work in progress thread when I did in in the historical/collecting thread on here w/many more pics before, during, and after the process...By the way thanks again for the new strings...as I said in the PM today was the first day I had one of your strings on my bow in the woods...Heck, I just shot it in yesterday.

It's pretty cool being able to bring a 38'ish year old bow back from the brink of the scrap pile and give it a new life and get it back to the way it was suppose to be back when it was made...I know this bow has been in my step dad's closet for 10 years or so, but I don't know anything about it prior to that, so I'm not even sure how long it's been since this bad boy flung an arrow at a critter.
