Great deer and great story.  Looking forward to the mitten and elk installments!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Mitten must have had you in an arm triangle to let that first buck walk.  Hope we get to hear another story from that ranch later this month!

Congrats Peter! Great buck, story, and pix....thanks! I'd love to shoot a big mulie like that one day. I'm gonna be lucky enough to hunt with Mike next spring but am getting worried with all the submission talk...should I be worried??...Ryan

...LOL...Mitten has no submission skills, (at least none that I know of)...But he is a big dood...Hunting with him will be a blast, he's good company and you'll enjoy your time afield with him...be sure to ask about "Carcass" stories.....

I'm watching several bucks right now that are far better than the one I killed...with some luck, Mitten will have a great sucess photo for all of you...But, it may cost him a steak dinner!
