Can anyone recommend a good guide for a black bear hunt in either New Hampshire or Vermont.

Thanks

You are much better off going to Maine. If you PM my your mailing address I can send you a copy of the Hawkeye paper which lists many guide services in NH and probably some in Vt.

Check out  www.hunterspointguideservice.com.

I agree with Bill, Maine is the New England state to  hunt bear in...PR

I hear you guys, but I'm going to be in northern Vermont for a family trip and would like to get away fro a couple of days and see if I can tango with a Bear. Maine will be too far out of the way.

Vermont and NH have some very good bear hunting. I hunt both states for bears with excellent results.
There are some drawbacks. VT doesn't allow bait and it is illegal to guide with hounds.Sitting over cornfields with a traditional bow is not a high percentage option.

NH does allow baiting.I run my own baits so I can't recommend an outfitter but the NH Div of Fish and Game has the list of licensed guides with contact info.

Also Northern VT is not that far from Western ME
