Need arrow selection help!!!

I have been bowhunting for about 20yrs and I have recently decided to take up the traditional aspect of the sport. That being said, I have a borrowed recurve that is a bit on the heavy side 60" 55lbs @28" . This bow is wearing me down I believe I need something in the 40lb range.I need some ideas for an afordable alternative to a custom bow. I also need advice on arrow selection. any help would be great .
