The short version is the deer won (as the gentle scent of ozone fills my garage).

Burnout is not fun, tell her you will get another for Christmas and let her do the vacuum sealing for you.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.
