FREEDOM IS NOT FREE

Last year I couldn't hunt one of my best swamp stands all season for all the rain we had the creek flooded over way to high and then froze up. This week we have had a lot of rain and soon as it stops i get out for they will move and feed. Or you can hunt from an ARK

Covey

I wish you could send some of that rain my way, it's drier than a powder charge over here in southern Indiana   :help:  Jason

centaur

Dry as a popcorn fart here in Wyoming. Makes for some tough stalking.

Got over 7" rain today and a few inches more coming tonight possibly...might make for some quiet still hunting Saturday if I can find some time after cleaning up from this mess

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

RAU

Several inches today in NE Pa. What a mess!! Woods should be quiet on Sat anyway.

Killdeer

Most comfortable rain that I have ever had the dubious pleasure of working in. Mushrooms will be going nuts in the woods, and you will be able to sneak more quietly than a flea can whisper. The ground was cracked, the trees parched.

I love rain.

One week ago 10"in S MN. Record level floods. I would take the dry over the flood. Although hasn't impacted my hunting. Ground only and I hunt public WMA's and its a little wet but still adapt and over come, which I haven't done successfully yet since I am still hunting.

LA Trapper

The leaves have turned here in LA.

Not because it is that time, but because they are dead with this drought.

Reservoir for the city water has cows grazing where we were fishing this spring.

Send all you got, we need the rain in LA!

Glad to see the rain here in the Valley, drier than I've ever seen ,leaves dropping due to drought, and the deer will be slipping in quietly this Sat.-the opener. Be safe and enjoy the woods. I know I will be.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

broketooth

i think eastern n.c. got the worst of it. we got 8 1/2" rain in 24 hours. a real frog strangler. ruddy

Cleared out yesterday evening and the opener tomorrow is looking good. Now if the wind would just back off abit before the morning, I'm all set.
