I a Jig and a right wing clamp. If I want to change from right wing to left wing, is all I need a new clamp, or do I need a new "left wing" jig as well? Are they reversable?

You will need a clamp and the nock reciever.  There are LW and RW nock recievers.

I guess I need to observe my jig more closely. with the right wing, the metal that sticks to the magnet is on the right of the clamp as I sit behind it. Does a left wing have the metal that attaches to the magnet on the left? I'm just wanting the cheapest way to do some left wing feathers without buying a whole new jig and clamp. Haven't seen a nock receiver for sale, but will keep an eye out. Thanks

You can fletch both left and right with your jig and nock receiver, and just a left wing clamp. I do it all the time-not perfect but very hard to tell the difference.

3-rivers sells just the index reciever for about 16.00.  Clamp and the indexer is all you need.  You do not have to buy the whole unit.  The indexer is where the nock of the arrow is placed.  The clamp are differnent due to the wing orientation.

I have a LW Bitz and just a RW clamp, and fletch RW without the index.I figured I didn't need it with most of the arrows today with tunable nocks.

Tie two birds together; though they have four wings, they can not fly.

I never knew there was right and left recievers.
I have been fletching with mine both ways for a couple decades. I have a right, left, and straight clamps. Never had any problems at all.

There is no need for a left or right indexer. The streight indexer will do both RW and LW fletch. The purpose of left and right indexers was to allow more cable clearence for the compound folks. Got that streight from the Bitz folks.

Ragnarok Forge

Been fletching left helic with a right helic reciever for two years on my bitz.  I wouldn't bother buying a left helic reciever.  I doubt there is much difference in the finished product. My arrows look and fly great.

They have always worked both ways just fine for me

Swamp Yankee

Works both ways for me with the same reciever as well.  If it really matter to you, just press fit the nocks, fletch as usual, then align and glue the nocks as you wish after the fact.  That's how I do it anyway.
