Looks like Ron has his voice tuned as well as his bow. Now we know how he brings them in for the kill.

Sometimes I'll talk to a bird, squirrel, or deer. It seems to calm thme down. For me to sing to them would surely cause a panic.

Keep on shooting and singing Ron. That's cool.

    Your memory is amazing also. As you remember Michael had a blood disease he is now compleatly free from it. Michael is now 18 and we have both continued with traditional archery he has won junior state championships and multiply I.B.O. youth traditional awards including full tuition to hocking collage. I have to think you had a part in his success from the experience that week with you and the one on one coaching you gave him that week is still being put to use for both of us still today.
    With that week and many other experiences being involved with BENIFITS 4 KIDS he has grown into a good young man. He try's to help other kids with archery, he now helps b4k at there fundraisers and after 13 months of fighting with the army. Proving he's healthy and will be leaving for boot camp Jan. 4 to be a Calvary Scout. And then onto jump school so he is doing good.
    Thanks for the experience.

Scott, I'm so glad to hear that Michael beat the blood disease. I've thought about him from time to time over the years wondering how he was doing.

It's great that he's still shooting his bow and is giving back through B4K. Tell him Hi for me and that I wish him all the best.

Thanks for the pictures.

Scott, I was impressed by the tale, but seeing that strong young man with the target full of good arrows... Wow! Put the smile right back on my face after a really really bad day at work. Life is good again.

Ron, I will have to show that video to my husband, Mockingbird. He likes you a lot already, but, you see, his favorite shtick is to whip out his flint and char cloth and light whatever needs lighting, be it campfire or just a cigarette. He will be tickled pink over your performance, might learn the lyrics and how to pick it out on the guitar. I know that he will watch more than once to see what, if anything, you do differently with the flint. (Not much that I can see, except your shard is extremely sharp, and Clark usually uses a found bit of quartz or the like.)

This WAS a real cruddy day, except for the fine, stormy weather (really, I loved it!), but it is threads like these that heal what's hurting.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

That's good stuff right there, thanks for posting the Youtube link. I never even knew who Ron LaClair was until I joined this site, but now I know a little more and I already have great respect without ever having even met him.

I just got done burning over an hour of my evening after I followed that link, because I had to subscribe to the channel and then watched as many videos of Ron that I could squeeze in.....It was time Well Wasted!   :thumbsup:

I'd love to meet you someday Mr. LaClair, I could sit and talk to you for hours on end and probably never get bored with the conversation.....I bet you have a million stories to tell?

Thanks for just being yourself.
