I have used both. I switched to a tab last year because I thought my release was ever so slightly better. A couple of days ago, I tried my old glove for some practise and it worked fine.  The tab seems to work a little better for me in colder weather.

Damascus glove for me... tried a lot of tabs over the years but can't find one that gives me the same feel on the string the Damascus does thus accuracy suffers...

Finq ... try another glove.  There are gloves with built in plastic inserts and there are gloves (American Leathers ?) with built in strips of damascus leather or other slippery materials on the fingers that not only aid in release, but also add some padding.

I like gloves, but seem to shoot better with a tab.  So I currently use a tab except for bowfishing.
