I recently purchased these with intent of putting them on steel broadhead adapters. The internal ferrule has raised areas I assume from the way the ferrule locks together which prevents a solid ferrule to adapter seating. This doesnt seem to be much of a issue with wood shafts as the wood gives enough allowing the head to seat true. I suppose I could apply excess mounting adhesive to fill the void.
Anyone else with similar experience and fix?

I have the 200gr....depending on which adapters u use ..u will run into that problem... When I put the 75gr in i just twisted and they seated after i turned them a lil... with the 125gr adapters they just hung out a lil....they shot fine though....

I shoot that head and use 100 gn. steel adapters. works fine. I use hot melt and twist them on real good. Solid and DEADLY, Two for two on bucks last year,3/3 overall in 09.

I just mounted up a dozen a few weeks ago. I wind the adapter in pretty tight when I install it to get it to seat. I had three of the twelve that did not spin right but all I had to do was reheat and turn them into the broadhead again and then they checked fine. I like the Ace heads. 175's and 160's. They sure do sharpen up nice. - jwingman

Thanks for your input I'll put a little more force to get them to seat and see how they spin. Spoiled by my Zwickey's I guess.
