Eugene Slagle

Today I went to the club for some stumping, some target practice & to verify my tuning.

Specks are:

Zona Custom T/D Recurve 60" 51# @ 28" - - 49# at my 27.5" draw
Gold Tip Trad 35/55's @ 30" w/ 125gr. Woodsmans, 10gr. weight adapted inserts, 1" 2117 footer & 5" Parabolics, total arrow weight = 446gr.

I decided to shoot a couple a times at the 25 yard block to see how my broad heads were shooting today when I got this group for the third time.

For the life of me I don't know why my bare shafts were so low being that they are hitting with the group at 20 & 30 yards.

This is to show which is my broadheaded arrows.

Sorry for the Cell Phone pictures.

I did remember why I didn't like that camo netting shirt "bug suit" before, the sleeve around the bicep seems to want to get into the way of the bow string.
I'll need to figure out what to do about that before season opener.
Zona Custom Recurve: 60" 49# @ 27.5".
Sky Sky Hawk Recurve: 60" 47# @ 27.5".
Genesis 27:3 Now therefore, please take thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and hunt game for me.

Killdeer

Could be that your nocking point is too high.

Take an old sock with holes in the toes, cut the ankle part off it and put it around your bicep. That should hold the sleeve out of the way and be too thick for a skeeter to chomp through.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Thanx for the idea Killdeer, if my sewing doesn't work for me I'll take your idea & go with it.

The Nocking point, I'm not sure though because I'm only at 1/2" above square, I'll play with it a little tomorow or Monday to see for sure before I tweak it any.

Dude I thought you broke your bottom limb off in the first pic but you didn't mention it so on further review I think I found it. As for the question my vote is a tad high nock point also.

Bowwild

Is that a Schafer Silvertip?  Sorry, I have thing for these bows right now...

Thought you were going to say your bottom limb broke off. If its there, its got a good camo job on it.

Eugene Slagle

No the bottom limb did not break off, it's still there just a funky picture I guess from my Cell Phone.
