Hey guys, I have the opportunity to buy a 62" 44# Thunderbird from Wing Archey.  It's in used condition, you know battle scars but not to the point it is not usable.

My question is what do you all think it is worth, High to low end?  We aren't able to put a price on it, and would appreciate a little help.

Please let me know if this is the wrong forum to ask this.  Thanks in advance.

i bought mine for 50 bucks and it was mint.but it was the amf...great bow regardless, friend shoots it now and is his carp bow..
if we are not suppose to eat animals, then why are they made of meat

Can be as much as 150. Wing bows can get up there in price being alot are made of rosewood. Try And add Ser#. Wing bows were also made by Bob lee back in the day aswell. Do a good look over the bow. gl

$150-$200 is a fair price for a really pristeen Wing depending on model and who owned the co. when it was built... The ones with the highest value, were the first ones, before AMF and Head "ski" got a hold of the company.

Origional Wing's and Damon Howatt Bows were way ahead of the competation from that time frame as far as performance. IMO they also exceeded the others, as far as speed and usually as far as appearance and quality as they often used a lot more exotic woods in their manufacture.

I have 2 of them a 62" and a 52" both have the micarta riser, great shooting bows, you won`t be disapointed if you buy one, the later ones by AMF had durawood riser,

Is that T7-2730? If so, it is first model vintage of the Thunderbird and 1967 was when it was made.

Mike, I talked with the owner earlier today. I believe it is a AMF Wing. He said he had an offer which was quite a little more than I would give in the condition he described.

Hey Jack, he originally told me it was an old Bear, and wanted $100 for it, and then quickly recanted when I asked for pictures.  I told him I would pay $30 for it, and wasn't comfortable going much higher than that.  I would have to refinish the bow, and make a new string for it.  It's not alot to that, but it does add up.

By the way Jack, I bought my 6 year old (Nick) a Bear glass powered longbow with the procedes from the Little Bear.

He thanks you, as well as I.

Mike,

If you could get it at that price I'm sure it would be worth it. It sounded to me like he had another person interested in it though.

My 7 year old neice shot the Little Bear at the LOL shoot this weekend. She is pretty happy with it too. I'd say we all made out good.
