Friends call me Pac

I went home to NC to visit my family.  While I was there I asked my brother to take me gigging for flounder.  As we loaded up his boat I put my bowfishing rig in the boat.  He asked why was I bringing my bow and I told him I wanted to shoot a stingray if I saw one.    :archer:

As luck would have it I saw several but only shot these two.  I had no idea what they tasted like so I did'nt want to shoot everyone I saw.  No need to kill just to be killing if they turned out awful.

I had to go on the internet to find out how to clean them.  It was very easy and in just a minute or two I had 4 great looking fillets.  I then cut them into smaller bite size pieces.

We cooked them up with our flounder we had gigged and also had a gar that I had shot while bream fishing.  I knew the gar would be good but the rest of the family was very doubtful.

I took the first bite of sting ray and was very delighted to find out it really did taste like scallop.   :jumper:    The rest of the family causiously sampled tiny bites themselves.  After the 1st sample of gar and stingray it was on.

After the meal was over I was suprised to see the sting ray and gar was all gone but 2 flounder remained untouched.

Looks like a great day and feed was had by all.  You just found a new sport.  Next time you will have to arrow a few more for the fish feed.

That's really cool Pac!!

Some folks need to learn what's good and what's not.

I figured that out a long time ago when someone(mom) tried to feed me "southern tofu"/grits..lol

Good shooting. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
