Sad but true!       Gimmee the classics, (with perhaps a small allowance of R/D just to keep my tooth fillins')-any day! Remember, "design improvements" led to the compound!     :scared:      :biglaugh:     Heck, I might buy a Howard Hill tonight!    :D

You have to include Arnold Smit of V Archery in the High Performance Reflex Deflex world.

His bows are a work of art.

You could always go the R/D route and still have a "D" shape too........

Just one more step please!

Some dude with a stick and string chasing things.

I have one like this 60" long but picture your bow having the riser reflexed in a couple of inches also and you got it. The maker escapes my mind right now(I'm at work) but I have never seen another bow like it. It looks like an Asian horse bow but with convetional string ends on the tips instead of sighs on it. Plus it's a standard laminated bow with glass and wood not horn or wood. It shoots sweet and is fast as my recurves. It pulls about 72 to 73 pounds at my 30" draw legnth.

Oh also my limbs are wider like a flat bow.

Doug in MN

Catus Cals pretty narrow limb tips, lots of D&R to the profile on this one and it will smoke an arrow.

Not the best photo.

The Zach Ferguson ZBows Z-58 model is an extreme r/d longbow model. It's based on the original Bryron Ferguson Patriot longbow which is about the first short riser, long limbs, extreme r/d longbow I can remember being on the market. It's featured in an old 1991 Ferguson Adventure Archery, Inc. brochure, dated 1991, that I still have in my archery brochure collection (I'm an archery hoarder, but I'm not buried alive yet). Clint

Ok got the name of my bow. It is a Woodland Traditional Archery Woodland Stalker(don't think they're made anymore). Very radical little bow. I once saw a recurve version of this bow that someone had laminated themselves and it really looked radical. Same deep reflexed riser but with static recurved tips on it. Like I said it looks like a Asian horse bow but with straight tips and regular tip ends.

Do you have a suggestion for the person's question Curveman? I doubt he is concerned that you object to him calling it a longbow.
Exactly.  I don't care what it's called.  How about we call it a "reculongbow"?    :D   [/b]
I would prefer "A LONGURVE!  :)  :)  :)
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

La critique est aisée mais l'art est difficile.

My new BW PLX is pretty extreme but not near as extreme as the Woodland Stalker I have. The Woodland Stalker's limbs still curve out after being strung but the string still doesn't touch the tips like a recurve. Looks like a true hybrid longbow/recurve.

Who makes the Woodland Stalker?
Woodland Traditional Archery use to, but I believe they stop making them. I got mine from a chap on Fle****. When I can I need to post some pics of my bows.

Raging Water,

Good looking bows you have there.  If they are like some of the other bows you have then I would probably have to use both hands and feet to pull them though!

Try to find a Bill Matlock Predator X II or III. Awesome bows if you like the radical r/d bows.RC
