I shot a bunch of bows last year at Denton Hill, none came anywhere close to Leon's slammer. Well done. What a nice gift your wife received.

Killdeer,

The description of my wife's bow sort of got lost in the confusion of my opening post (still not quite sure how I re-posted the same photo so many times- sorry again!) Anyway, my wife's bow is on the right and bottom in photos on page 1. It's a 60" Slammer Longbow, 34#s at her 24" draw; the riser is osage and cocobolo with birds eye maple fadeouts on the belly side. The belly is pacific yew and the face is African tulip wood. The handle is wrapped in brown buckskin leather. Satin finish

She's been shooting it every night since I surprised her with it last weekend. Thanks for the kind words about her bow. Leon helped me choose the woods and the design of the riser. If only buying jewelry was this easy.  :)

I'd rather have a good bow than all the jewelry in the world! Sounds like your wife may lean that way too, especially now that she has such a sweet Stewart Slammer. It struck me right off, her bow reminds me of a swallow, swooping and soaring in the summer air. Very nice indeed.

Killdeer   :thumbsup:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

36   I was fortunate to be able to see your's and yoru wife's bow at Leons as he was just readdy to ship them the day I picked up my new Slammer from him.
 The pictures here do not do them justice , they are even nicer in person . I wish  you the best of luck shooting and hunting them .
If they shoot half as nice as mine they will be great.
I have been shooting mine as much as I can since I Picked it up and it is a dream.
I'll be shooting it at the Pa Longbow Asso . Shoot this weekend can't Wait   Leon is a great guy an d a wonderful person to deal with .

IT IS GREAT TO SEE LEON GET SOME ATTENTION. HIS WORK RAISES BOW BUILDING TO ART. THERE ARE FEW THAT I HAVE SEEN THAT CAN MATCH HIS CRAFTSMANSHIP.
