I just got a test kit of trad only carbons, what do you do to prep them for fletching? rough them up? dip them? wipe w/ acetone? or nothing at all?

There is usually a bit of carbon dust on mine,...and I wipe off the fletch area with a wet rag.....and let them dry and fletch.

I do use acetone to take off the gold writing paint.

I would bareshaft them to figure out which is best for setup.  I use denatured alcohol or acetone to prep shaft and inside for inserts.  I scour the inside of shaft with brass gun brush and then clean with Qtip and acetone.
