I got a buddy that ask me for some help in selecting some arrows for his son's little longbow. The kid's bow specs. are 26# @ 23". Bow isn't center shot. He wants to use a 100gr. head so he can shoot a Magnus Stinger or something like that for small game hunting. Doesn't matter to him if its wood, carbon, or alluminum. Thanks for any help in advance.

When my daughter was shooting that poundage she shot 26" easton JAZZ 1516s.  You can't use an insert, but any standard threaded point will slip neatly inside the shaft.  I would just hot melt them in place and she was "good to go".
I'm not lost ... I'm exploring alternative destinations

He has some JAZZ arrows he is shooting now. I'll let him know about hot melting the point without the insert. Anyone else got any ideas?

I believe that 1713 is the smallest aluminum that you can get an insert into. You'll need to leave them at 27" and have about 200 grains (including insert) up front to have then spined correctly. And I am assuming her draw is 23".

Thanks Bob. I'll check it out for him.
