Hometown Bears-Good 'Ol Tolland CT

Well the bear population in CT is growing!  My father and I have hunted Kollar State Forest in Tolland (my hometown) for years (he much much longer than I).  Recently, my dad found scat and I found what I thought could be a bear print (posted it a coupla months back).  Turns out it was... bears have turned up in the near area where I found that track (within a few miles).  The story made the local evening news.  He's smaller... about 150 lbs, but its cool to find them there!!  There is legislation on the table to open a black bear season in CT, so if any of you are CT residents and interested in chasing these magnificent creatures like I am, write your legislators and ask for a bear season!!
