...arrow wraps?

I found some colorful shelf liner paper at Home Depot and was thinking this could make "cheap" arrow wraps.

Anyone use it?  How does it compare to store bought arrow wraps for durability?

I don't ,,,,,yet! A friend was telling just last week that he bought some to try and it seemed to work just fine. He said for a few $$$ he had a lifetime supply. I'm not sure if there are many colors but even white is one of the best to see in low light!

I haven't tried that yet, but I have used the reflective tape from the automotive department at Walmart. For $1.49 I can get 10' of it in red or white. It sure makes finding lost arrows easier. Just wait for dark and shine a flashlight in the area. The glow is amazing! At times I just put a "crest" on with the tape. A little dab of Fletchtite will keep the tape from peeling up.

I may try the shelf paper though. It sounds like a good way for a soon-to-be retired guy to save some money!

I bought a roll of white and cut a bunch of wraps for some 2018's.  I put on the feathers with fletch tape and gonna check it out.   ;)

When I saw the price of wraps at the local  sports store (over $12 a dozen!      ), I figured there must be an alternative.  Besides, I'm retired and my wife has put my wallet on a diet.

I buy onestringers. rather support a sponsor than Wal-Mart. But, I do have a job...at the moment.

I second the Onestringer wraps too. $18 for 8 DOZEN!!! solid color takes some beating!  :D

The shelf paper wraps work well.  I did a few dozen 4 years ago or so and never had any problems with any of them.

sounds like that may be the way I should go (if I could cut 'em straight).

Onestringer's wraps look good and are pretty economical if you buy 8 dozen at a time...about 13 cents a piece. You could still wrap a 1/4" or 1/2" strip of the reflective tape around the nock end and make them easy to find in the grass and brush.

im not sure if its the same as the shelf paper, but we had some rolls of vinyl at work for shadow boards for tools orange and yellow, the orange worked ok but for some reason the yellow didnt like glue(npv or fleth tite)and the feathers would  pull off? if you buy 8 dz. from onestringer can you mix colors or do you have to get one color for all 8? i want to give them a try.

Ive been using shelf paper as wraps for years and it works fine. Last week I got my order from Onestringer and they are great! I got 8 doz. and yes you can mix colors for that price.

Now there's an idea I might have to try!
I find the older I get, the less I used to know!

Magnum in Ms

I use the white 2mil thick shelf liner on my carbon arrows and they work fine. I paint my wood arrows ,just something not quite right about a wrap on a wood arrow. I am going to try Onestringers wraps ready made for that 8doz price is hard to beat.
