if im going to shoot the Easton Axis arrows and i load 170 broadhead and a 100 grain insert do i need footing?

JRY309

You don't have to foot them, but footing them will strengthen the front open end of the arrow shaft.Axis are tough arrows, but the weakest part of them are the open ends like the point end and nock end, they can crack there on hard hits.

i foot my mfx arrows,i shot an iron bunny target and got all iron my nock came out and i broke a judo point and the arrow is fine,i think its worth the little bit of extra work to the arrows.

Except my indoor arrows I foot all my Gold Tip arrows with a 1" piece of 2117 shaft, they add a little extra weight to the tip & they sure can take a beating especially when they hit those pesky metal rods they stick in 3D targets.
