I have a chance to pick one of these up from a dealer I like doing business with over the phone.  I just got into trad bows last year and this guy has set me up with a couple of awesome bows.  Anyhow, has anyone shot the one piece?  I prefer takedowns owing to the greater mass weight but this one has alot of phenolic in the riser and weighs 2 and quarter pounds.  I'm most interested in the grip and performance.  They only come in 58" so this might be a nice treestand bow.  Thoughts???????

They're great bows. I have a 3 piece 60" swift but have a friend who has a one piece 58" B model. GP are shooters for sure, smooth and quick. I love the grip on mine and most of my pards like it also. Of course the proof is in the shooting for each of us.
Just my 2 cents.

I had a 3 pc Sr Swift, It was an excellent performer and loved a heavy arrow. Great Plaines are noted for their performance and I'm sure the one pc. will stand up to that tradtion. The grip is really positive and easy to used to. I was a dummy and traded mine!!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Thanks Guys!  I'm gonna pull the trigger.  Performance waise, I know trad is not about speed but my Predator and Centaur really slam arrows snd thus I'm not sure I'd be happy with a sloth of a bow.

Has anyone else shot the onepiece?  I know it's pretty new to Bill's line.

I had a one piece rio bravo and it was a shooter. great plains has one of the best grips on the market. I whould not pass on it.

Don't like many recurves, but this is one of my favorites.

Thank You very much for your feedback gentleman. This bow is one of the most beautiful bows I have ever seen.  It has black phenolic with osage and cocobola with tonkin bamboo limbs.  And, speaking of grips, i have smaller than average hands and it looks like the gp grips might accomadate "girly" hands.
