Sorry to hear about that. I didn't draw last year but came up on the alternates list...keep your fingers crossed!

But My Father and I drew this year! His first time chasing elk and Muleys and my second! I can't wait.

I'm not sure, I think if you check your ALS report there is an option....but I forget. I know I was 200 and in late august I got a letter that was sent to the first 200 on the list saying they had 160 or so tags left and whoever (of those 200) got their checks in first got a tag. The only downside was "party permits" don't count here so my pops couldn't come.

At least this is how it is with the "General Big game Combo" tags.

I didn't draw either.

And Skip, thanks for the info, but coming from WI I need the party to come along.  :-)

We drive out and camp and such.  Sharing the driving, gas, and camp stuff is the only way I can make this trip.

I am going to take this opportunity to use this thread for my own gain. I am jonesing big time to get out of the swamp. Just can't shake buying land in Montana. I was just going to post a thread about my interests in Montana but figured it would be pulled by moderators then saw the thread. Sorry Coaster, I'm a Californian if it's any consolation or don't hold it against me.
....... Any Montana members who wouldn't mind contacting me to answer just a few questions I have about your State I would be very much oblidged. I am looking to move homestead and can use some input please. Thank you, Ed
