Lightweight hunting gators?

I decided I need gators, mainly for stream crossings to keep the water out of my boots. But they should be able to double as quiet stalk equipment if it snows.  Don't care to break the bank either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Gaiters wont really keep water out of your boots.  I would look into goretex socks instead.  They work great.

as has been said, gaiters won't keep water out of your boots if your walking in water deeper than the tops of your boots.

i can highly recommend the rainwear hydrotuff gaiters by stoney creek. great in wet brush and knee deep snow.

Sitka Gear makes a nice looking Gator but like mentioned already gators will not stop water from getting into you boots if it is deeper than height. You may need to look at taller boots or maybe GORE-TEX socks, which will not keep your boots from getting wet but will keep you feet dry.

If you're not wading and just makin' a quick crossing they will work. I have gone almost up to me knee and stayed dry. I have a goretex pair from Cabelas.

I don't need gore-tex socks. I have gore-tex boots.
Glad someone else has crossed streams the way I do. Sometimes even pulling my stretch pants over the tops will keep the water out, so thought gators would be even better.  Duct tape would work too, but carrying around a bunch of that for crossing doesn't make sense.
Thanks for the replies everyone!
