I'm trying to find an article or post about someone building "the ultimate arrow" or something like that.  If I recall correctly, it was built using a carbon shaft and a wood insert.  The insert was tapered on the back end to reduce the chance of the shaft breaking at the rear of the insert.

I don't remember if I read about this online or in a magazine. Any ideas?

I've searched high and low and can't find it. It's driving me nuts.

Thank you, Jerry.  I knew I wasn't imagining it.

Didn't Adcock write that thread.  As I recall it seemed like a lot of work.  Buying another doz of arrows would seem more practical.

I beleve the idea was to make an arrow strong enough that it would not break (within reason) and you would not have to buy another set of arrows (within reason).
