.... ARROW SPINE TESTER...?????

I have a old spine tester. whats the best way to calibrate it. Should I just put different known ### shafts on and mark curved arm with each ##### ???. Also who maked new ones ???? Thanks for Your help.

You can use a dial indicator, to check the deflection of your shafts.
Then convert the shaft deflection into pounds.

On an AMO scale it's two holding points at 26" divided by the deflection using a 2# weight. Example 26/.500=52# spine

There is also an ASTM scale used for carbons that uses 28" spacing with a 1.94# weight.
