A frien of mine gave me some river cane. Now I need to figure out how to make some arrows. I cut one of them to 30in and my judo point slid right in the end of it and I had a nock off of an old arrow that goes inside the arrow and it fit too. Not sure what the spine will be. I'm a little scared to shoot it out of my bear black panther its onle 40\\45# at 28. So I shot it out of my sons little bow and went good. Here are some pics. .com/albums/a260/jandscranford/006-1.jpg[/IMG]

I don't know anything about cane, but that nock looks unsafe wont that split the cane? maybe you can get a nock to go over it.I wouldn't shoot it

difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

Thanks Ipcjon2 you are right would probably split it. I will figure out a way to put one over the end. Will try to taper the nock end.
