Best Curved Toothed File

Looking for suggestions for the best maker of 14-inch curve toothed metal files.  Any suggestions?

There is nothing wrong with Nicholson files if you buy the good ones.
Get a Nicholson # 50. They used to be about $50 a throw, don't know what they get anymore.
These are hand cut files, that will leave a fairly smooth finish after using.
I've had mine for over 20 years, and they still work great. I use mine alot!

There was a post around Sept./Oct. 2009 about files used to sharpen grizzly broad heads. I believe the individual also posted a tutorial on the subject. He had ordered a case of these special files and was selling them at cost($25.00). Believe he was out of California. Run a search. You should be able to come up with some info. I know he sold several files to tradgangers off that post.Good luck.

I believe there are different grades of Nicholson files.  The curved tooth Nicholson and their pattern maker files seem vastly superior to their mill files you find at Lowes.  I've heard of the Nicholson curved tooth model referred to on this site as the "Grizzly Tamer" and also as auto body rasps.  The specific model is 14" flexible standard 50-908 #20189.  I got one from the Cooper Group or Cooper Tools out of Apex, NC. Here is a pic of the Nicholson.
 

There are also English made curved tooth files that can be had for a reasonable price.
