I got this from a friend of mine and it was so forgettable that he didn't remember it until he actually laid eyes on it again... Thank you Butch!

I have witnesses to prove it is a great bow. It shoots where I look and the only sound you'll hear when it's shot is the arrow smacking the target.

If my memory serves me its an Ash stick 68" long and pulls somewhere in the mid-40's to low 50's. There's nothing attached to it other than the string itself. There's nothing in the way of silencers on the string either and yet it is whisper quiet.

Thanks to Scottm for coming over today and spending what turned out to be a great day with me.
I think I drug out every bow I owned and shot them all including this one.

Thanks Scott for being the photographer! You did a great job especially considering what you had to work with..lol I love the new knife too! Thank you!

Thanks for looking!

God bless,Mudd

Like I've said many times, it's pure traditional archery. I shoot glass bows as well as wooden ones I made. Even shoot carbon arrow from time to time. My strings are modern dacron. Having said that, our focus should always be on the simplicity of archery. It's a primitive thing. The fun we're having is in direct proportion to it's simplicity.

Looks like you had fun today!..if you were in this part of missouri..northern...you would have hip boots on, the snows about knee deep!

Roy,
Glad you like it. It's red elm. Was going to narrow the limb tips & put horn on it but never got around to it.

I stand corrected....not Ash, Red Elm. But still a very simple bow for simple minded folks like me.

I do enjoy shooting any bow that's this quiet and with a nice cast.

Thanks for setting me straight Butch. I sure didn't intend to mislead folks, just have a poor memory.

I have a hickory bow, plain stick and string around 50#,same nomenclature as the bow in the picture that I hadn't shot for awhile.I took it out the other day for a walk. The snow was starting to melt and the temp climbed to 60 degrees.I had forgotten how good the bow shoots, very quiet, light and I have walking sticks heavier than this bow    .I noticed on the longer shots,20 yards plus, that I could count one potato, two potato before the arrow struck home but watching the arrow in flight is one of the joys of archery. The bow has an endless loop 18 strand string so I'm thinking  a 10-12 strand will greatly improve arrow speed.I had picked a few POCs from my basket and I was pleasantly surprised at how accurate I was with the bow.I have no doubt this bow could take a deer. This bow is what I call my play bow,fun to shoot, low maintenance,no frills.Bought her home oiled her up and put her back on the rack.I'm thinking I'll have to take her hunting later this year.
