brace height and tuning

Ok my friend a I have two different opinions on this. I've cut arrows to length so they fly very well. But not PREFECT just a little stiff. So do I lower brace height so the arrow is on the string longer functionally weakening it?
or do I raise the brace height to increase the functional weight of the bow???

What Westbrook said, just make sure to go 1/8 at a time, sometimes if you're close a small change can make quite a difference.

Yep, you need to raise the brace height. Just go a few twists at a time. How stiff is it and at what distance are you shooting your groups?

just a touch stiff at 15 yards.. ok so raise the brace height weakens the shaft--- a bit.

The further back you move, the better you'll be able to tune them. I'd at least tune them to your max hunting/shooting distance.

most times when I adjust brace height on my bows, if I have made an adjustment of up to 1/4"
or more I generally have to readjust my nock point as it has moved from twisting/untwisting the string.

Joe, can you lighten up your string silencers if you have them? Or move them further from center? both will weaken the arrow. Agree with raising brace will increase bow poundage and weaken arrow.

Playing with the silencers will also increase arrow speed but increasing brace will slow arrow slightly due to shorter power stroke.

Off hand how do you know the arrow is a "little stiff"? Are you grouping consistently to one side, or are your arrows tailing off?
Are you watching the flight of the arrow, or are you watching how it sticks in the target?
Move back away's, you have to watch the flight of the arrow, at 15 yards the arrow is barely out of the archers paradox.
