I know Marty really puts his heart into this hunt and he wanted me to have the best hunt possible. Well I've been hunting a long time and have been lucky enough to hunt many beautiful and interesting places. Marty's hunt is as good as any of them hands down.

My days of wanting to kill something every time I step into the woods are over. I just want to be in the woods, seeing game and enjoying the sights and sounds is just icing on the cake.

When I was in business and we finished an important event we would do a round table, quick discussion, to highlight what we learned and made a list of EBI's ( even better if's )

What I learned on this hunt was ....
HOGS ARE TOUGH
Hogs can smell really good
Trad archers are good people
Marty is the supreme host
South Florida can be beautiful
Biggie really is big

What were the EBI's ....
Only that I wish I could have stayed longer

Thanks again Marty ...

Great pictures and story. I was down hog hunting in Florida this January and this thread brought back all the great memories.

Marty and I have been hunting pards for nearly 20 years. We've hunted several states and 3 continents together. I've never seen him as torn up about a hunt before. Ken killed a beautiful boar the 1st night. I thought the pressure was off but not Marty...he worried all weekend about the unusual swirling winds.
He wanted Ken to shoot everytime he sat! He was so shook up he had ME cooking breakfast!! That's bad folks cause when I fry 3 lbs of bacon, only 1 pound ever gets to the breakfast table -)

Biggie your a natural born legend! Thanks for the "GRINS"-Bill

Biggie didn't mention that they also cooked up a big platter of awsome sausages and a mound of eggs to make up for the bacon shrinkage .... the food was super and Marty's BBQ New Yorks on steak night where done to perfection... this is a five star camp, not hot dogs and beans.
