Awwww heck! I looked too!

Wow! That's a great looking bow!

Now comes the really hard decision, do I order one, or just waite for Comber to put his up for trade, since he more than likely has another order in to Big Jim for an upgrade?  :biglaugh:

I have been away from the computer for a couple of days, and wouldn't you know it...there a 5 pages of comments about my new bow from Big Jim! Comer, quit getting credit for my bow   :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:   Guys in all seriousness, this is my second bow from Big Jim and it is awesome!! I have a 58" and he built this bow for me, and it is just a smooth and fast! If you are thinking of forward handle designed bow, please give Jim a call and talk with him. He has a winner with this model!  Thank you for all the wonderful comments about my bow, I just wanted to confirm with everyone that this bow is all that it is cracked up to be!

COMBER

Hey its been nice getting the credit for your bow Ryan but I did post that it wasn't mine and that mine would be 56" and Macassar Ebony and Bacote. Doug I don't think I'll part with this one too soon and I definitely won't part with it till I've got another one in my hands. I'm famous for the revolving bow order with a couple select bowyers.

Davey, not sure what Jim's using for his takedown on this bow yet but from what I've heard him say is draw lengths up to 29" for the 56" bow and the 58" bow for anything over that.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

BigJim

Kenneth, thats about right. I have shot my 56" many times and it feels  smooth to me at my 29-29.5" draw. At 30" you should probably go to the 58". The force draw curve doesn't show poundage ramping until around 30" and even there it is only by an extra .5# more than the average of the previous per inch increases.
Yes my two piece will be a carbon socket style.

I have a Big Jim Buffalo Bow on order in a 2pc locket socket takedown that should be ready by TBOF in March down in Florida at the spring shoot.  I can hardly wait to check out one of these also.  Sweet looking bow Big Jim!!  Rick J

So you're using the socket system Jim?  Man you really give a guy a lot of hard decisions.  You're to bows what Starbucks is to coffee.        :biglaugh:    ;)

You better go ahead get on board for one of these before his wait time gets to be a year! You won't regret it!!

Guys- for those who have asked (I guess for those who didn't ask too) the curent wait time is an aproximate 16+- weeks. I do my best to build my bows as quick as possible without rushing them. I may have gotten carried away with my wood working toys trying to achieve a more efficient process but I will not intentionally rush them in order to meet demand. In other words as long as I can build a quality bow, I will make them as fast as I can.

Thanks for all ya'lls kind words, BigJim
