Hi All,

Looking for advice. I use D97 and 450+ string material. I have experimented with 8125, but the color rubs off on everything! Is there a way to make it less messy? I have used a paper towel to rub down the black material and it helps a little....but not much!

I love the 8125 string, but it doesn't make much sense to have different color string materials if when you rub the string, to get rid of the excess wax, the string turns one color!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Joe

I order my material "lightly waxed"--that pretty much eliminates the problem for me.  I haven't used white or yellow or any other really light color in 8125, but I had similar problems with 450+ and Dynaflight, and getting the wax reduced helped a bunch.  Costs a tad more, but worth it.

Chad,

Do I order it from BCY "lightly waxed"? If that's the case, I would prefer it to any other string material.

Thanks,
Joe

I just got some skinny 8125 strings from Chad. Did not notice any mess from bright colors like red-and no creep!!

I have used 8125 black & white with either red or tan and have had no color problems. Steve

I have dark brown and yellow 8125 that does not bleed. I have had Dyna97 that bleeds.
If it's in your way, move it.

JRY309

I have had problems with black D97 and black 450+ bleeding color, especially the 450+.I just picked up some 8125 in black and yellow, they are fine,no problems.

Running Buck

I have been using black, orange, tan, brown, and green and black with no color problems at all. I didn't know you could get it without wax.

LBR

I think BCY has made some changes with their dye, but I still prefer my material lightly waxed.

yep, definitely ask for 'light wax' - been doing that with bcy for lotsa years.

no need for all that added wax weight, too.   "[dntthnk]"

It's funny - I have that problem with my D97 but NOT my 8125.

I have not had any problem with 8125 bleeding but
black D-97 is terrible!

Can you guys suggest a Tradgang vendor that sells 8125 raw materials? I like to make my own strings.
