I just finished my first ever set of Douglas Fir arrows from Surewood. I cut, tapered nock and point ends, barrel tapered, stained, sealed and fletched the shafts and my dozen came out matched within 2.5 lbs. in spine and 6 grains in weight    :D    Most of my shafts spun almost straight enough right out of the box, and the few that didn't were quickly remedied on my aluminum arrow straightener.
I cannot believe that these came out this incredibly well matched, especially since I barrel tapered them on my belt sander (5/16" on the nock end, 23/64" in the middle, 11/32" on the point end). This is more closely matched than most of the carbon shafts I've tried. If I bought 2 dozen, I'm convinced I could get at least 8 matched exactly in spine.
Not to mention that the grain on these shafts is beautiful and they take a stain readily. I'm really liking the Spar Urethane finish I have on them, it seems very tough.
But anyways, props to Surewood for putting out such quality, well matched arrow shafts!

I have been using the Surewood shafts for the last 3 years and love em.  The quality and service can't be beat.  Let's see some pics.
