Mike Bolin- what are the woods in that riser...really neat looking.

Yes Bloomington I think. I am buying a bow this year so it is on my list of bows to shoot. The list keeps getting bigger.

Just got my 62 in takedown recurve from Scott 2 months ago. Love the bow! Only paid $560 for it. Shoots excellent! His 54 inchers are a bit cheaper (I think) and still shoot nice.

Ray, it is cocobola and osage. The osage has started to darken a bit and has a really rich color. It is a 58" bow, the shortest recuve I have owned and it very comfortable to shoot. I only draw 28", but I am sure it would be fine out to at  least 29". Great bows! Mike

Yes, Bloomington, Indiana.  Just south of Monroe Reservoir.

Shakes, the Strike is about $450 and Hunter takedown is $550 which isn't too bad for a brand new bow in my eyes.  If you talk to him I'm sure he could work out payments with you too.  He's a pretty fair guy.

Mike, pretty bow!

This was my first of 3 Timberhawks I had. This one was made back in 2000. I had sold it 3 years ago and just recently traded my 6th Blacktail to get it back.(thanks Terry!!)
Scotts bows are top-notch!!
It's also the bow pictured on my profile with my 1st trad Buck!

I've been shooting his bows for over 10 years now. I have 3 of them. This recurve and 2 longbows. I really love his new takedown longbow. He changed the handle up and it nests in the palm of your hand perfectly. I think the grip alone improved my shooting. Scott is a fantastic bowyer and better person.

The new takedown longbow. This one is 65# and rock solid.

This is a one piece longbow.

Scott's website is  www.timberhawkbows.com  and shows some of his bows nicely.

I have to wait until July 31st to get mine. I give Scott a lot of credit. I am a newbie and had tons of questions. He was nice enough to take the time and just talk. As I said I can't wait.
Hopefully you will see me as a better person today than I was yesterday..

Well, It is 2012 and Scott is still at it, better than ever.  This is my 60 inch Strike in Zebrawood & Cocobolo.  Labor day 2012 my Timberhawk Talon should be ready. It is made of Chechen and Osage.

Discovering Scott Mitchell and his TimberHawks at Kzoo this year was a godsend for me.  Great guy who makes awesome bows!  I'll be getting another soon.

If you get a chance, be sure to check out these sleepers.  Forgiving, smooth, fast...just a joy to shoot.
