Couple pics of some purpleheart footed cedars that I made up with goose feathers last year.  This is my go to hunting set up that I have used for the past several years.  Four fletch 5" goose feathers on all of my hunting arrows. dino

Any noticable difference between turkey and goose fletching, like flight or noise?

I've never noticed a difference in noise of flight, fly just the same as turkey fletchings.  I still fletch and shoot a lot of turkey feathers just not on my hunting arrows.   They are fairly durable and can take a good amount of abuse but definately not as durable as a good old wild turkey primary.  They are the most resiliant feathers in bad weather conditions.  They repel rain, sleet and snow... well like water off a gooses back.  Hard to beat.  dino

Fly pretty much the same, hold up better than turkey feathers in wet conditions. I have some that are ancient and look brand new

Here are 2 with smaller goose wing feathers. This is a primitive style called tangential fletching. The third arrow from the left is a small goose wing feather tangential 3 fletch

ant this is a tangential 3 fletch with smaller goose wing feather given to me by James Parker.
