I went to see Craig today since I am lucky enough to have him in my home state. He makes the Black Timber bows and bow bolt system. You want to talk about some nice bows! He has a new design this year and the riser is probably the coolest I have seen. He is an  awesome guy, and I felt priviledged to be able to sit and listen to his stories and knowledge of bows. It was a
great afternoon! From what I heard I think he currently has an extremely short wait list, but my guess is that won't be the case for long. If you want one of the best custom bows out there that also happens to be a work of art and you want it in short order you better call him quick!Just thought I'd throw that out there since all I could do was stand around and drool!

Have you guys not heard of Craig? You don't know what you are missing!

Go to  www.warrenarchery.com  to see Craig's bows. He's a great guy and makes some real nice bows. If you talk to him, ask him about his moose. I figure I'll see the new one either at the MTA winter shoot or the spring shoot. I make it a point to shoot at least one course with him, just to catch up.

Highlandwarrior, are you a member of Maine Traditional Archers? If not and you're interested, send me a PM. Also, where in Maine are you?

Not only does Craig make some nice bows, he and his wife Cindy, are two of the nicest people you could meet. I visited with Craig last year on my  way to the Poke and Hope shoot and we all went out to dinner that evening, What a treat. When we got to the shoot one of the fellows from New Jersey, Tom Langatol, was there with his DAS bow and new limbs. In just a few shots Tom's limbs blew up and he needed a bow to shoot. Craig let him shoot one of his new longbows. Two things were outstanding, the people we were with (Tom is a great shot, a better guy, one of those guys you wished lived closer to you) and Craig's bow just smoked Tom's arrows. It was a memorable weekend.

Craig's bows are worth looking at. Fast and accurate.

I do wonder about Craig, however. His shop is just "TOO CLEAN". He just can't be all there, LOL.

The moose was there when I was there- well at least the rack. Super wide and heavy 65" spread I think he said. Supposed to be the heaviest moose shot with a bow in maine. Real nice animal. I didn't get achance to ask him prices, but I got the impression they are fairly reasonable.

oh and by the way he is supposed to be updating the site after the new year with the new bows and info on it, so make sure you check then too!

I've had a    Black Timber Bows by Craig Warren   Craig Warren Black Timber 60" carbon custom recurve for quite a few years.

One of the smoothest bows I've owned and or shot.  Beautiful work of art that really performs to boot.

Nothing better than the looks on the faces of the "pro's" with their new-fangled expensive bows when they get destroyed by a guy shooting instinct with a traditional custom bow.

Warren's work is DEF worth checking out if you are in the market for a bow.

I knew he was the Bow Bolt guy, never realized he made bows as well.  I'll add him to my list.
