Can anyone tell me if this bow can shoot FF? Can't find anything on the web about it. It a Samick Volcano, It's a fairly new model.

LBR

It has micarta tip overlays, and the string grooves seem to be cut properly.  My guess is it will be fine, but it's only a guess.

I'm leaning the same way. Tips look just like my BL.

JRY309

I would shoot FF on it,it looks to me to have micarta tip overlays.

It will be fine.  Just take some fine sandpaper, roll it tight, and go over the edges of the string nock to make sure it is well rounded if you have concerns.  There is plenty of micarta overlay there.

I shoot fastflight (450+) on a 42 year old Shakespeare that has wood overlays.

I have an old Damon Howatt made in 1972 and it has wood overlays. been scared to shoot FF on it.
Could it really hurt it?

Just a suggestion.......use dacron. If it is like the Volcanos I sold, it came with dacron. I will add that I did see more than one Volcano with split limbs. Dacron may be easier on the limbs, and for a few feet per second (4-5), it is not worth the risk. We got ours from Greattree, may or may not have been made by Samick. I think the ones we had were made in China.

BRONZ

I was told the same thing by Samick and used FF on my Volcano last year.

Just make sure you pad the loops on that string.  Even the bows that are build for fast flight still stipulate that the loops must be padded.
