Hunting from elevated stand. Length of bow?

I have VERY limited expereance in stands, in fact all of one weekend but 3 differant brands in that weekend. I shot a 64" bow and found that while standing there was no problem at all but while sitting the arm rests on two of the stands gave me a problem.
