Where can i buy some 75 gr. brass inserts for 5/16 carbon shafts, such as CX 250's. I've never seen any, do they even make a 75 gr.

Thanks,

AA

I dont think I have ever seen any 75 grain inserts.

You could take some 100's and cut them down on the bottom end to make your own.

over&under, I may have to do that, FerretWYO those are for the skinny carbon such as Axis/MFX, I need some for the standard 5/16" carbons.

Hmmm that may be a different story.

AFAIK, nobody makes 75 grain brass inserts for regular carbon.  You might have to make em on your own or go about the desired weight a different way.

Maybe you could add 25 grains on the insert (ie use a 100 grain insert) and lose 25 grains on the head? Or maybe dump the inserts altogether and put all of the weight into the head?  Just food for thought.

Good luck

Are the GrizzlyStik inserts 75 grain?

They come in three sizes but i've no idea if any fit a 5/16.

Yes Grizzly Stik inserts are 75 gr.,but they won't fit in 5/16" carbons.A 5/16" 100 gr. insert is long enough to trim alittle off to make your own 75 gr. inserts.I have cut down Axis/MFX inserts to make some 75 gr. ones before they came out with the 50-75 insert for them.

AA,
You may try this one, the 75 grain brass broadhead adapter for the CX shafts:

or if you want a screw in adapter I would take a 100 adapter brass adapter and grind it down to 75 grains.

Interesting, thanks for finding those.

You can slide an 85 grain .243 slug down from the nock end with a little super glue on it. That's what I do with the CX arrows I get from walmart.

A bloke in Australia makes brass inserts in near any weight you like up to 250 grains or something like that.
