Is there a howard hill book called tembo, i know there is the movie but my dad is convinced there is a book. I have searched forever and cant find it.

He says there is a part where howard hill shoots a charging lion through the eye. Is this in any other book? I think it is in another book and he is forgetting, if not can you link me to the book.

Tom Phillips

The book about Howard's trip to Africa is called "Wild Adventure".

Craig Ekin, the bowyer and owner of Howard Hill Archery, wrote a book called "Howard Hill: the Man and the Legend" which is also worth reading.

Craig's book is the one where Howard tells of shooting a wounded charging lion in the eye while trying for a brain shot. Page 123.
