Well this last week I finally was able to go hunting big game. We have a late season in the northern part of the state that runs through november. If you catch this season right you can find the mule deer in the rut. After a phone call from my nephew about seeing the biggest buck of his life I was off. Most of my early season was spent helping a friend with a real good limited entry bull tag. So I didnt have a whole lot of time to hunt this year for myself making this a nice change. The hunting was tough, dry cruchy snow always makes for hard stalks. But we did see some nice bucks even a couple in the 180 + range(I would have shoot much smaller). I even drew back four time but never had a shot I wanted,Twice on a 180" buck.  :banghead:  and my nephew missed a doe twice. I never got the big one but had a good hunt and was able to hunt some country I haven't hunted in awhile. Here are some pics from the hunt, sorry only had the small camera
this is looking back to the canyon I killed my frist two deer and my frist LB kill many years ago. This one I was bussy taking this photo and a doe and small buck had feed up 5 yards behind me. I hpoe you will enjoy.

that is some beautiful country.
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.
