Darton Sure Flight Hunter Question

About 25 years ago, I picked it up at a pawn shop on a lark when I was 14.

I haven't shot it in 23 years, but would like to eventually use it to hunt (started hunting two years ago, rifle).  Questions is whether there's any reason not to drill it for inserts for bow sling and sights?
