Going to order an ACS but cannot choose which one to get.  I shoot my bows pretty much vertical and the short window on the 14" concerns me.  I also want a 62" bow, and worry that the shorter limbs on the 16" riser will cost performance.  I have shot a 14" ACS, but have never seen a 16" in person.  Anybody have any personal experience with this?  Thanks.

I originally purchased mine with the 14" riser and had difficulty shooting it.  It is pretty small through the throat and I had a hard time with consistent hand placement and fletching hitting my hand.  I ended up purchasing the 16" RC riser and prefer it so sold the 14".  I've heard just as many say they prefer the 14" over the 16" as the other way around, so I doubt if anyone can tell you which is best for you.  If you like a smaller grip you may prefer the 14", however if you have larger hands you may prefer the 16".  Good luck with your choice - it is an awesome bow.

The 16" RC riser is much larger in the grip than my 14" standard riser. But it really feels good to me, like an extension of my hand.

I shoo the 16" ...62" bow. I had it at 64" and it did shoot a little better for sure, But Not THAT noticable. the 14" just seems a bit short in the handle so I dont prefer it but thats me. I shoot vertical as well.

Matty,  Do you have the standard or the RC riser?

I have had 3 14" risers and sold every one. I could shoot well with them but they just didn't feel "right" to me. I have a 16" and I like that a lot better and you can't tell the diffence between 64" and  62".

BUT......I just bought a 14" JK and that's the riser for me. Best fit of them all. I like it so much I am trying to sell the 16" so I start shooting one bow.

One thing though, I think the 16" is better with heavier limbs 60lbs and up.

I have 3 bows with the 14" risers and 1 one pc. They all work great for me. Why not order a bow with 2 risers; or 2 bows?

BrianH

Bjorn, I would be sleeping on the couch for a loooooong time if I did that.
