Happened to luck up on an almost pristine Bear Grizzly recurve today.

My foggy memory says it looks early 70's vintage.  Ser# is KR28327.  Seems I recall "K" means post '69.  Also, the medallion looks the color of dirty brass and is not embedded flush with the riser.  It sticks out.   Anyone here know for sure the year it was made?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Chuck, I have a Grizzly that starts with 65 in the serial #. And I know it's from the seventies and one of probably the last ones built in Grayling. This is my second one ,and I like how it shoots. I picked it up off a guy at work, with bear spring arm quiver for 35.00! Don't find many for that price. Mine is missing the medalion, I bought one to put on ,and from the looks of it , it would be raised also. Check out the trad history/collectors section and ask over there for more info. Those guys know their Bear History, Good shootin, Steve

(Don't know what you call you, "Frank" or "Steve".)

:)

Anyway, it's been a while since I've posted here.  Forgot about that forum.  Will post the Ser# and see if they can help ID the year.

Never owned one of these little Grizzly's.  I have a '69 Kodiak Hunter.  This little Griz is a fine little bow. Can't wait to get to know it better.
