which is smoother ,i know the 60" recurve is smmmooth,i am wondering on the 3 peice takedown long bow ,does anyone have one ? if so ,please tell ,im looking into getting one.

I am shooting my 4th Schafer and the only one that I ordered built to my specs. Ordered 2 sets of limbs too. Anyway, I have shot 3 recurves and 1 onepiece longbow, loved every one of them and consider Silvertips to be the best bow built. You cannot beat the speed and smoothness of a Schafer recurve. I was always a longbow guy until I owned my first Silvertip recurve.Like I said though the longbow was first rate too. But if you are asking me to choose...... Recurve all the way personally.

I had 4 t/d recurves,1 1-pc recurve and a 1pc longbow.I kept 2 of the t/d's.The longbow was nice but it doesn't compare to the 'curves

I don't think you'll be able to fault either. Although my experience is only with the recurve, I bet the longbow is excellent, too. I think only you can make that decision, and you should think about which one you like the looks of best - unless you can manage to do a test drive (can't do that here in Oz). Either will be a masterpiece, and will serve you just fine.
